Searching For Substance

Dance Gavin Dance have been talking about releasing their new album for a while now. But a few days ago, they finally released a new song! The Robot with Human hair pt 4. This was my first time hearing Tilian Pearson as their new frontman. And dare I say, I’m very impressed. I heard his voice and melted. Plus, it’s nice to see how the band has changed to accommodate his voice. Fans of dgd know that the band’s sound and style change with each singer,  yet still retain the unique sound that is Dance Gavin Dance.

Also, They actually released a music video! A lyric video, but a video nonetheless. Dance Gavin Dance rarely releases videos. (My thoughts when I saw the Facebook post about a new video for a new song, “MY BODY IS READY!” hahaha.)

The new album s available for pre-order. Acceptance Speech, the new album, will be released on October 10th. I’m too excited.

Follow me down we’ll get paralyzed

Hang On

Hang On

Don’t lose composure now

Hang On

Hang On

Feed into the miracle

Don’t be fucking cynical

This new song is sick. I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

And Every One Had Matching Towels

I hope this choice of a video came to you as a surprise, considering what is normally posted on here. haha.

This is a fun song, which is why  kind of like it. Something to jam and dance to. 😀 The video is pretty cool, I  have to admit. Although there is so much to make fun of in the video as well.

So watch this and re-evaluate your life. Here’s your song of the week. 🙂

Rock Lobster by the B 52’s.

Random Update!

I interrupt your busy day for this oh so important news update!
It’s possible to make a Sex bob-ombs radio station on Pandora! Finding that out made my day. My mind was blown. haha. So far all of you Pandora users who love the Sex Bob-ombs, I hope this brightened up your day.
I’m not sure if they are on spotify though.

How can you not just love this band?
lolat Young Neil.

…Is A Real Boy

Yesterday I was taking out the recycling and “Pens and Needles” by Hawthorne Heights came on my iPod. Then I nostalgically thought to myself, “This is the song that got me into this band.” That Thought is what inspired this post!

For most bands I like, I remember the first song I hear by them, the first song I like by them, and the song that got me to fall in love with them. For some bands, the first song I hear by them IS the song that makes me fall in love with them. For instance, have you ever heard a song for the first time and thought, “What is this? Who is this? Why hasn’t this been in my life before?!?!?” while desperately writing down the song and artist so that you never forget this life changing moment.  It’s intense, bro. Well at least some of the times it is. Hopefully your moment isn’t as exaggerated as mine.

A First I’d Like To Share:

About four or five years ago, I was derping around the internet for Full Metal Alchemist related stuff. I came across an AMV and actually watched it ( I hate AMV’s). The video was set to “Wow I Can Get Sexual Too,” by Say Anything. I was like, “Is this an actual song? What is this. I must have more of this in my life.” So after a bit of searching, I came the actual song and it’s music video, I was very impressed. So That’s my first by them and  how I  came to love Say Anything.

I’m not sure if I’m the only who keeps track of stuff like that and if it’s weird to do so, or if other people do this. But if you do keep up and remember stuff like this, I’d be glad to hear from you!

Truck Truck Truck

I finally watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. After watching it, I felt like I have been missing out in life. The movie is amazing and action packed and it’s funny. PLUS the sound track is golden! Pilgrim’s band the Sex bob-oms should actually exist. I’m in lesbians with them. Haha.

This song is strangely romantic. ❤

For a fake/movie band, the sex bob-oms are great. They have been classified as one of my favourites, just like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is now one of my favourite movies. Their lyrics and music are good. Someone put a lot of work and thinking into this band.

I love how Young Neil is a part of the band, yet he isn’t at the same time.

Mechanical Young

On June 17, 2013, The James Cleaver Quintet released heir latest album, “Mechanical Young”. Being a pretty big fan of theirs, I was excited to hear the new album. Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to listen to five of the songs on the albums. But what I’ve heard so far is pretty good. Their sound has changed a little bit. But it’s ok, every band “progresses” as they make new music. If they didn’t, every album would song the same. We can’t have that. However, I can’t help but think that their first album “That Was Then, This Is Now” was better. I still adore the band and support them fully nonetheless. They’re doing great stuff.

Enough of my rambling.

But due to the new album, The James cleaver quintet has released a new music video for the song “Love’s No Good”. They made the album art into a person, hence the girl. (That ws a bad explanation, forgive me. haha).

You can see their style has changed a little bit too.

I’m patiently awaiting the day they cross the pond and come tour in the US.

Your Eyes See Right Through Me

Lookie Lookie.

I have a new song of the week for you. It’s long overdue. But I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

“The Walls” by Emery off of “The Columbus EEP Thee EP. It was later renamed to “Walls” and became the song that we all know and enjoy. But this version is nice. I guess the word for it would be “raw” but still beautifully put together.

Frozen In A Starry Void

In the article/post “The Start of Something,” I promised that I wold post more and it would be wonderful. Then I didn’t post in like a week. Sorry. But I was not idle in that week I was away! I have begun crafting! I make coasters and these frame things. And yesterday, I finally opened a shop on etsy.(http://www.etsy.com/shop/Veraltet?ref=pr_shop_more)  Only selling the coasters for now though. Also while I was away,  was practicing one of the three languages I told myself I wold learn (Russian). And practicing sightreading music too.

While I’m crafting, I prefer to listen to longer songs like  “A Man. A Plan. A Canal.” by the Fall of Troy instead of shorter songs. But since my friend convinced me to listen to some mgmt. songs, I checked out their album Congratulations from the library and not only was the album better than I expected ( I thought it was going to be that hipster indie shit. I’m not about that life. “Too Much Hardcore For Breakfast” haha), it has a wonderful song to craft to.

“Siberian Breaks”

It’s twelve minutes and six seconds of goodness.

What I like about songs like this and “A Man. A Plan. A Canal.” are the smooth transitions. Not all songs like this can actually pull that off. Usually I don’t have the attention span for a song longer than five minutes. But Siberian Breaks has captivated me and commanded my attention. It’s now on the crafting playlist.
