The Cusses recently released their new self titled album. Luckily i got this edition before it came out, for it had no bass guitar in it. It made me feel a bit special. Each track has a life of it’s own with a pure rock ‘n roll sound to be treasured by all of you rock ‘n rollers.

1. The Wait Is Over
This was an excellent choice for the first song. Not only because of the title, but because of the pure energy of the track. It starts out slow and gloomy, but then suddenly (after 37 seconds) speeds up to a roar of beautiful sounds. Symbolically, This song is like the band’s battle cry making their name known. The wait is over, the Cusses are here to kick arse.
3. Blood Everywhere
This upbeat songs conceals the not so upbeat message of the song. (picking up the pieces after a tragedy) So listen carefully. The lead vocalist, Angel has the perfect female punk rocker voice. Sweet. This song has a not so modern feel to it. i can’t place my finger on the right decade.
7. Cuss
Spontaneous dancing (or maybe even moshing) is sure to break out at the sound of this song. It’s a simple sounding song, musically. But don’t underestimate it. This is pure talent. It’s has a groovy beat, good lyrics, energetic, and thoughtfully crafted. me gusta.
This is a great first album and hopefully we will be hearing more from them. The Cusses sound are quality musicians. I could recommend them to fans of the White Stripes (they are like a less bluesy version of them), Joan Jett, and Pati Smith. But labels aren’t appropriate for them. Obviously I was satisfied with this, but Check them out Bros!
